Kayo is an easy to use GPS tracking solution for your vehicles. In this article we'll cover some of the most common issues users may face when using Kayo. We recommend first following along in this article to get your Kayo device fully connected.
GPS Connection
The Global Positioning System (GPS) requires a clear view of the sky to work best. If you are traveling in underground roadways or in large, enclosed parking structures, the GPS signals may be temporarily obstructed. The accuracy of GPS signals will improve automatically as soon as you resume traveling in areas with a better view of the sky.
Network Connection
If you are in an area with good sky visibility, but are not getting as many GPS updates as expected, the issue may not be with the GPS connection at all. Once your Kayo device has the GPS location information, it still must send that info over a cellular network so you can access it through the Kayo mobile app.
You'll want to make sure you are traveling in an area with good cellular connectivity to ensure the data continues to flow in real-time. Limited or no connectivity may result in temporary delays in updates, but the data will continue to flow automatically once connectivity is restored.
